Valerie Artene began her hairdressing career back in 1995. Her dream back then was always to be able to run her own salon, a unisex hair salon that stood out from the rest, one that would be as individual as its customers. That dream became a reality in August 2008 when she opened Clippers.

Valerie wanted the best haircut salon in Cholsey Wallingford that specifically gave customers everything they wanted from a hairdressing salon – a highly professional service, a perfect haircut, friendly staff, a clean and vibrant salon, and of course affordable prices! She also realised that for many with last minute plans for a party or special occasion, or for those who decide on the spur of the moment to get their hair done, that to have to make an appointment in advance was just plain inconvenient! There are times when you need your hair done in a hurry, realising this Valerie also implemented the no appointment necessary policy. Furthermore she wanted to create a salon where both men and women alike felt relaxed and comfortable. She achieved all of this when she opened Clippers.

Since then Clippers has gone from strength to strength and it now has a long standing reputation for offering an exceptional and outstanding service to each and every one of its clients. Clippers operate a walk in policy, with us there is no need to make an appointment, just drop by and we will be sure to have a space for you.
